Theodore Thomas Foley, MD is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has an extensive background in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. With his compassionate and methodical approach to surgery, he continuously seeks to meet or exceed the expectations of each patient. Furthermore, Dr. Foley utilizes his high attention to detail coupled with his strong aesthetic skills to assure complete medical care for the patient with optimal cosmetic results.
Dr. Foley is extremely proud to be a part of our team at his new practice, Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery of Central Pennsylvania, LLC. He has designed the practice to ‘meet and exceed’ all of the plastic surgery ‘needs and expectations’ of his patients with diligence, honesty, and compassion.
Prior to forming his own practice, he worked at Leber & Banducci Plastic Surgery, LTD in Harrisburg for a number of years and also completed his cosmetic & plastic surgery training in plastic surgery at Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. During this residency his magnanimous character led to his nomination and receipt of multiple teaching awards by his fellow residents. Dr. Foley hopes to continue this mentorship by training plastic surgery residents in the specialty of cosmetic & reconstructive through the Penn State program. In addition to academic instruction, Dr. Foley stays abreast with his research interests which focus on the advancement of our understanding of wound healing and scar prevention. His work has been published in several papers in the journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He operates at all of the local PinnacleHealth Hospitals (including West Shore Hospital, Community General Osteopathic Hospital, and Harrisburg Hospital), and at the West Shore Surgery Center.
Dr. Foley has had a substantive background in both academia and military service leading into his medical career. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University, PA in Chemical Engineering. He then served in the United States Army as an Executive Officer, second in command of a 157 soldier Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Company; recognized as the best chemical company for the year in the Army. After completing his Army tour of duty, Dr. Foley received his MD degree from the Rosalind Franklin Medical School. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Foley utilized his insights to help his fellow classmates by authoring The Clinical Smart Book (a clinical guide to help medical students transition from the basic sciences to clinical medicine).
