Blepharoplasty - upper eyelid surgery

This is a 67 year old female who had difficulty seeing, especially at night.  The excess skin on her upper eyelids was making it difficult for her to see. She was delighted that she could have her upper eyelid surgery, in the office, under local anesthesia and awake for the procedure.    Eyelid surgery or a blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the upper lids, lower lids or both. It can also be used to help with your vision if the upper eyelid is droopy. Sagging extra skin of the upper eyelid can disturb the contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision. Fat deposits can cause the upper eyelid to appear puffy. Bags and wrinkles on the lower eyelid can be treated with a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
