Blepharoplasty ( upper eyelid surgery)

This is a 75 year old male who had difficulty seeing. The excess skin on his upper eyelids and ptotic eyebrows was making it difficult for him to see. He did not want a browlift, but desired an upper eyelid lift. Eyelid surgery or a blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the upper lids, lower lids or both. It can also be used to help with your vision if the upper eyelid is droopy. Sagging extra skin of the upper eyelid can disturb the contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision. Fat deposits can cause the upper eyelid to appear puffy. Bags and wrinkles on the lower eyelid can be treated with a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
