Wondering where to get information about a new diagnosis of cancer?
Both doctors and patients use the National Comprehensive Cancer Network for the most up to date treatment guidelines for cancer treatments. This is a government sponsored website www.nccn.org which can be access for free (no fees). The information is updated at regular intervals with all the new research in each field of study. There are often written explanations which are easy to understand. For example, the melanoma section has an Adobe PDF document that is written in layman’s terms which is easy to understand for everyone.
